Institutional Investment Risk Consulting & Technology

Founded in 2019, Aiperion LLC is a scientific research, consulting, and technology firm specializing in portfolio construction and investment risk management. Aiperion is an exciting, innovative firm that, using its own intellectual property, helps institutional investors leverage cutting-edge AI to better understand their risks and optimize their portfolios.

The firm anticipates entering an accelerated growth phase both in its consulting and in its technology (fintech) business. This accelerating growth requires additional highly competent personnel.

Aiperion is based in Chicago. Our team is diverse on many dimensions, including professional background, ethnicity, gender, religion, age, and love for mathematics. We actively encourage diversity, being a certified woman- owned business ourselves. We are dedicated to becoming outstanding partners for our clients, constantly evolving our services, our technology, and the way we invest for their benefit.

Job location: Chicago, IL. In-office or hybrid preferred but remote also accepted for an outstanding candidate.

Job Summary

You will be part of an entrepreneurial team executing a plan to intelligently grow the risk consulting and fintech business. Your primary responsibilities will be identifying new business opportunities, managing relationships, and expanding business strategically. You strongly believe in the role of innovation, AI, and technology in finance. You have some understanding of and are willing to become an expert in portfolio construction. You are able to embrace both qualitative and quantitative thinking.

You champion the innovative power of our framework and risk technology to give investors more visibility and more control of their portfolios. Crucially, you are able to take these new, sometimes strikingly different financial concepts and translate them into easy-to-understand, intuitive language.

You will manage the full cycle of business development, influence, and collaborate with key stakeholders and partners. You always look to identify clients’ unsolved problems; you bring these problems to the scientific and tech teams. You are never presenting a single product; rather, you are always selling a problem-solving framework. By working with customers and the product development team, you will redefine the way portfolio management is understood in the investment community.

Your primary focus will be the global institutional investment segment: public and private pensions, foundations, endowments, etc. You might also target (through partnerships) the wealth management segment. You will secure meetings with prospective clients either virtually, at their offices, or at industry events. You will meet prospective clients virtually or in person, with the founder/other staff or on your own. You will maintain marketing materials and an online presence. There is potential for your compensation to be tied to your results and directly aligned with the success of the business.
